Kangaroo Bus Lines (KBL) are excited to be participating in the “Women Take the Wheel” initiative being rolled out across Queensland by the Queensland Bus Industry Council in conjunction with Strategix Training Group.

Currently females make up only 16 per cent of the current bus driver workforce in South-East Queensland.  This state-wide campaign is designed to encourage women to get behind the wheel by equipping them with the necessary skills to join the passenger transport industry.  The course provides a competency based Certificate Level III in Driving Operations with on-road...

We are very excited to announce our new partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast. We have partnered to provide students a quicker, safer, and more convenient means of transport between the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions via their improved USC Express Shuttle Service.

At the beginning of 2017, Kangaroo Bus Lines was successful in winning the tender to manage the USC shuttle service.  The commencement of this new partnership will see daily services double!  From the beginning of the new semester in February, timetable changes are being implemented to enhance...

The Birdsville Races were yet again another major success for the Kangaroo Bus Lines and the Royal Flying Doctors partnership. An amazing $7000 was raised via gold coin donations, which was a fantastic achievement considering the weather. Although usually a dirt and dust affair, this year’s event was hampered by torrential downpours causing the cancelling of one day of racing and preventing many travellers from even making it to the event. The rain did not stop the race goers that travelled to Birdsville, swapping riding boots for gum boots and donning ponchos and grabbing umbrellas, just...

Recently some of our passengers were lucky enough to join us as we created memories of a life time getting up close and personal with majestic humpback whales in Moreton Bay.

The day started bright and clear as the coach commenced its pickups and headed into town to meet the Tangalooma Whale Watching vessel.  Our guests boarded the state-of-the-art catamaran and enjoyed smooth sailing across the magnificent Moreton Bay to reach Tangalooma Island Resort.    Our morning was spent leisurely making full use of the resort facilities including 40 free activities available for day use...

The last plane out of Sydney may have gone, but the Big Red Bash Rock’n’Roll Road Trip was a huge hit in 2016!

The Big Red Bash is Australia’s most remote major music festival set at the Big Red Sand Dune 35km west of Birdsville on the eastern edge of the Simpson Desert. The Big Red dune itself is close to 40 metres high and makes the most spectacular natural stage backdrop in Australia. By day there are many people up on the dune enjoying the sweeping desert vista and by night it’s a huge natural canvas for spectacular lighting and effects as stage backdrop. Set up camp, kick back...
