Kangaroo Bus Lines (KBL) are excited to be participating in the “Women Take the Wheel” initiative being rolled out across Queensland by the Queensland Bus Industry Council in conjunction with Strategix Training Group.
Currently females make up only 16 per cent of the current bus driver workforce in South-East Queensland. This state-wide campaign is designed to encourage women to get behind the wheel by equipping them with the necessary skills to join the passenger transport industry. The course provides a competency based Certificate Level III in Driving Operations with on-road driver training. The Certificate units include applying fatigue management strategies, securing cargo and customer service. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to meet potential employers!
The last of the initiative’s information sessions will be held at Kangaroo Bus Lines’ Head Office, 2 Motorway Drive, Burpengary on Wednesday 11th October 2017 commencing at 9:00am. Those registered in the 8-week course delivered by the Strategix Training group will commence at KBL Monday 16th October.
If you have a “C” class manual licence (held for a minimum of two years), be able to clear a Police check and are interested in a rewarding job with long term career opportunities, we’d encourage you to enrol.
