2022 has been an incredible all-around year for Kangaroo Bus Lines (KBL). We have been so grateful to be a part of many amazing trips and events, providing positive, memorable experiences to all our passengers and team. From an internal point of view, 2022 has brought business growth by allowing us to hire more team members, yet still, maintain our high standards and remain people-centric. To show our year in a snapshot, we have listed below some highlights from the year we’re most proud of.
Corporate & Recruitment
Royal Flying Doctor Service
We celebrated our 10-year partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). Our collaboration with RFDS began in 2012 at the Birdsville Races and has since grown into an incredible partnership, in which our buses transport merchandise and supplies to the RFDS, take passengers to Charleville to learn more about the RFDS history, and encourage donations at outback events.
LiftMax Wireless Mobile Columns
We secured new LiftMax Wireless mobile column lifts for the fleet from Levanta. The new column lifts utilise up-to-date world-class technology from Europe and are backed by the strength of the Levanta brand. We have been a valued client of Levanta for over eight years and appreciate their efficiency, reliability and focus on safety.
Our Passionate Drivers
We recruited more bus drivers to the KBL team this year! We are always motivated to grow the business, so the next step was to hire more passionate people. Of course, we kept the same focus – maintaining our high standards and continuing to be people-centric. However, most importantly, we were driven to hire the right people and provide them with safe and secure employment.
Trips & School Excursions
Relocated Troops
We relocated approximately 250 troops and associated baggage from Brisbane to RMC Duntroon, Canberra, in a large convoy of 14 drivers, seven coaches and three heavy-duty trailers. The relocation demanded a great team effort, and the KBL team didn’t disappoint anyone! The project was a success, and we had a delighted customer.
School Tours & Safaris
We’ve been everywhere, man! From Carnarvon Gorge to Charleville, Great Keppel Island and everywhere in between, our school excursions in 2022 provided memorable experiences to places all around Queensland. The feedback we heard from schools, families and children was excellent, with smiling faces all round.
Major Events & Festivals
Midnight Oil
We were honoured to be recognised for our consistent standards and chosen to be the event transport for the Midnight Oil concert held at the Sunshine Coast Stadium. Our shuttle bus service for patrons was just as successful as our previous projects.
Caloundra Music Festival
Our team of professionals aim to tailor to the specific needs of your business, festival, or event. In doing so, we have developed a strong partnership with the Caloundra Music Festival team. Time after time, providing eco-friendly and wheelchair-accessible (DDA compliant) transport for this iconic event. Our continuous loop of Park & Ride shuttles has given festival-goers accessible alternatives to attending significant events. Will we see you next year?
Melbourne Storm NRL
As restrictions eased, sporting events started to get back up and running again. The Melbourne Storm approached Kangaroo Bus Lines to partner with for all their transport needs for the duration of their 12-day fitness camp. We provided the team with a trusted and stress-free solution for airport and hotel transfers, stadium transport, and corporate dinner services.
Brisbane Roar Football Club
KBL knows how important it is to have a high-quality and organised means of travel. Our streamlined technology enables an efficient transport service, so there were no doubts for the Brisbane Roar Football Club when choosing Kangaroo Bus Lines for a private shuttle bus service during their on-season.
ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup
During the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup, Kangaroo Bus Lines provided reliable transport solutions for teams playing in Brisbane and Sydney. There were also additional on-demand options for teams requesting unplanned movements at short notice. During the 18 days, our T20 driving team delivered on our motto of people, pride and passion.
Birdsville Races
Attending the Birdsville Races annually, the KBL team worked around the clock to provide customers with an authentic Outback experience, immersing attendees into the heart and soul of the races. Although the first day was a washout, the weather turned around and we were able to create an unforgettable experience enjoyed by many.
