As part of our internal corporate structure, KBL has a highly skilled and dedicated operational taskforce based at our head office in Burpengary. Our Service Delivery Department is managed from 4:30am – 9:30pm with flexibility to expand operational hours during peak periods and special events. Our professional and dedicated Service Delivery team, accompanied by our newly developed Logistics Program, are responsible for managing our operations including fleet and driver allocations, driver fatigue, service commitments, safety and contract compliance and incorporates a paperless rostering system to reduce our impact on the environment.
The safety of our passengers, drivers, and other road users is of paramount importance to Kangaroo Bus Lines. On road vehicle monitoring is managed via the latest In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) technology. This assists with safety and contract compliance through monitoring and recording all vehicle driving data such as speed and harsh breaking. This system is duplicated in our Onsite Logistics & Communication Vehicles, allowing us to coordinate high capacity movements at any location, at any time, safely, quickly and efficiently.
For enhanced service delivery, our operation provides complete uninterrupted communications with the entire fleet through our own dedicated digital two-way radio network. Our operation incorporates live vehicle GPS tracking enabling our taskforce to monitor vehicles in real time. For added safety and in case of emergencies, our vehicles are equipped with duress features and CCTV surveillance cameras.
Our 33,000m² facility boasts a modern, environmentally friendly two-story office building, maintenance workshop, fuelling and wash bays, safari shed and parking for 160 buses & 150 cars. The facility is powered by solar energy to minimise our impact on the environment and features an onsite, secondary power supply for any unplanned power disruptions, ensuring all business and maintenance activities can continue.

KBL operates with proven leading-edge technology by partnering with one of the most advanced and adaptable private ticketing systems available. This technology allows for an integrated passenger recording and GPS system coupled with a Content Management System (CMS). The fully integrated system allows KBL to set up your contracted routes with geo-fence stops for convenient real-time reporting such as patronage, bus capacities and on-time running.
Passengers can download the patented app for free to retrieve real-time, live information tracking the location of each service and receive notifications if the bus is reaching capacity. This technology even has the capability to allow passengers to load funds onto the smartcard system via the app for a tap-on and tap-off paid service.
